PodWave ("the app") explains here what information we collect and how we use it.
1. Information we collect
- Account: identifiers and email (if provided) via Google or Sign in with Apple; profile photo URL when available
- Sync data (optional, when signed in): podcast subscriptions, listening history and resume positions, listening notes, playlists, search history, discovery preferences (country, genres), theme, language, and playback speed
- On-device data: downloaded episode files, playback cache, and most settings stay on your device
- Diagnostics: crash and error reports (Firebase Crashlytics) to improve stability—not used for advertising
2. What we do not collect
- Downloaded audio files are not uploaded to our servers
- Listening notes are not shared with other users
- No ad tracking or sale of personal profiles
3. Purpose
- Podcast playback and listening journal features
- Cross-device sync
- Authentication and service operation
- App stability and quality (error analysis)
- Support requests
4. Retention and deletion
Sync data is stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore). You can delete cloud sync data and your sign-in account in Me → Device sync → Delete account. Local downloads and settings are removed when you uninstall the app.
5. Third parties
We use the following to operate the app:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Crashlytics)
- Google Sign-In
- Sign in with Apple
- Apple iTunes Search API / RSS feeds (podcast search and subscriptions)
We do not sell personal information to third parties except as required by law.
6. Your rights

7. Changes
We may update this page when our practices or legal requirements change.
